Melbourne — July 2026
Soccer-specific speed, strength, and movement quality. For young players pushing to play at the next level.
Why This Approach Works
Most speed training ignores what football actually demands. Acceleration in soccer is short, explosive, and directional — you're driving horizontally out of a press, not sprinting a straight 100 metres. At APX we train force production in the right direction: horizontal drive off the ground, anti-rotational strength through the core, and change of direction mechanics that translate directly to match situations. No heavy weights. No generic gym work. Everything is built for how the game is actually played.
The Day
9:00 AM — 11:00 AM
Athletes are tested across speed, agility, and strength using timing gates, cones, and med ball work. Every test goes on the leaderboard. Prizes for each category. Everything filmed in slow motion — athletes leave with usable footage of their own movement.
11:00 AM — 12:30 PM
Each movement quality is broken down — whiteboard first, then on the pitch. Acceleration drills with head-up positioning for in-game pressing. Sprint-into-finish runs that replicate attacking movement. Every drill has a football context, not just a gym one.
1:15 PM — 3:00 PM
Training built around what your position actually demands. Strikers, midfielders, defenders, and goalkeepers work through movement scenarios specific to their role. The day finishes with a competitive game or challenge.
